Throughout December, all of us Sugar girls will be bringing you our year-end coverage featuring the
Best of 2008. For the next two weeks, we'll be asking you all about your favourite things, and here on PopSugarUK I'm kicking off by asking for your opinions on those British stars who've made it big in America over the last year. Several celebs in the fields of music, comedy, acting and fashion have recently followed in the footsteps of other successful Brits Abroad like the Beckhams, Gordon Ramsay, Simon Cowell and Ricky Gervais.

The spaceage trousers have not hit stores yet but they've already been adopted by Agyness Deyn and Katie Grand! The silver leather trousers were part of
Giles' Spring 2009 line and were worn by Agyness Deyn at the aftershow party. Katie Grand, who is a close friend of Giles Deacon, wore the same trousers to Tuesday night's
British Fashion Awards.

Agyness Deyn may have
been beaten to the Model Of The Year trophy at the British Fashion Awards last night by the equally beautiful Jourdan Dunn, but she was in New York the hometown of her man Albert Hammond Jr hailing a cab and showing she's still got the look. We
recently saw her in Dubai, partying it up with Albert, Lily Allen and Kylie Minogue, and she recently revealed that she and Lily were both strip searched after landing in the country,
saying, “It was really traumatic. It wasn’t the best experience in the world, but it is their culture and you just have to respect it.” With all the travelling she does, I'm sure this isn't the first airport nightmare she's had.

A-listers were out in force last night for the lavish opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, with Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Mary-Kate Olson
slipping on their gladrags. Us Brits were represented by a suave Gerard Butler, glittering Agyness Deyn and graceful Lily Allen, who left the
balloons at home and accessorised with Rhys Ifans and a reported
£5 million of Chopard jewellery. Wowzers.

Many an A-lister made the trek to Dubai today to celebrate the grand opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson
traveled from London to join Sam's mother Ann Dexter-Jones, while Mischa Barton will show up anywhere there's a red carpet. The eclectic crew, which included Mary-Kate Olsen all draped in white, Gerard Butler, Charlize Theron, and Stuart Townsend, was treated to dinner and an elaborate performance from Kylie Minogue.

The lush green background made the dresses stand out at last night's CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund event in NYC, where
Alexander Wang took home the prize;
check out all the other winners here. Anna Wintour, who
may be considering retirement, hosted some of Manhattan's pretty young things at the soiree. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley traveled as a duo as usual, though they never pose together.

Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue, held their fifth annual Fashion Fund extravaganza in New York City. The big winner was
Alexander Wang who won $200,000 along with a year of mentoring. The runner-ups were Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai (Vena Cava) and Albertus Q.

Agyness Deyn attended The Humane Society's Cool vs. Cruel ceremony earlier this week
raising eyebrows about her stance on the animal fabric. She wore an anti-fur sticker to the party and played with fabrics with a maxi velvet skirt.

While one star of
Australia was elsewhere in town at the
women of the year awards, Hugh Jackman got dressed up to honor director Baz Luhrmann at the MoMA. The handsome actor was just one of the stars out
looking fabulous alongside Jessica Biel in a simple
LBD and Rachel Weisz in one with flattering pink accents. Maggie Gyllenhaal draped herself in fur — can you tell if it's
faux or not? — while Peter kept the fuzziness on his face.
