Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue, held their fifth annual Fashion Fund extravaganza in New York City. The big winner was Alexander Wang who won $200,000 along with a year of mentoring. The runner-ups were Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai (Vena Cava) and Albertus Q. Swanepoel (Albertus Quartus). Also, the keynote speaker of the evening (and Charlize Theron's date) was none other than John Galliano (Dior). All of the attendees arrived dressed to impress on the red carpet. Agyness Deyn attended The Humane Society's Cool vs. Cruel ceremony earlier this week raising eyebrows about her stance on the animal fabric. She wore an anti-fur sticker to the party and played with fabrics with a maxi velvet skirt. Did you get the memo? Apparently it's cool to be British again. With Alexander McQueen including the Union Jack in his Autumn collection and Dolce & Gabbana using The Queen as their style icon it seems all eyes are suddenly on Blighty. This month Vogue China are running an Agyness Deyn in McQueen cover cementing Britain's place on the cool map. With the current fashion week situation it's good to hear that we're getting some much deserved fashion love. Fab Flash: 2008 British Fashion Awards Nominees Revealed

Back in August the date for the British Fashion Awards was revealed to be towards the end of November. We predicted some of the possible nominees and many of you thought that Luella should be British Designer of the Year.

Today the actual nominees for the 2008 awards were revealed. Last year Stella McCartney scooped the prestigious British Designer of the Year award and this year she is nominated for a red carpet gong.

Hilary Riva, CEO of the British Fashion Council told Vogue,

"The awards celebrate the extraordinary talent within the British fashion industry as highlighted in this year's nominees list. I would like to thank Swarovski for their support of the British Fashion Awards 2008 and for their sponsorship of the Emerging Talent Awards, which will help to support two of our newer talents as they establish their careers and businesses."

Daisy nodded to the opulence trend with a bright coloured blazer and clutch. She attended with ex-boyfriend and Burberry ad campaign star Will Cameron who matched Daisy's bright coloured tuxedo jacket with his green shiny blazer. Milan Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Burberry Prorsum

Christopher Bailey described this collection as “little girls splashing around in their gardens with easy elegancy” and although I've never seen little girls make a mess with elegance, it's a good description for this collection.

Bailey is a traditional English guy and knows that Summer in England doesn't necessarily mean sun so this line included floppy rain hats and traditional Burberry macs updated with ruffle applique.

There was definitely a Grey Gardens influence with long cardigans tied over knee length dresses.

The colour palette mainly consisted of muted khaki tones with occasional flashes of yellow. The lived-in looks were dressed up with statement jewels and teamed with socks and shoes which matched.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2009: House of Holland

Who would have thought, two years ago, that a man who has made his name in fashion with quirky t-shirts would now be showing his fourth collection to London Fashion Week? It's quite impressive and despite his critics suggesting he was initially a one-trick pony (which amusingly was the title of his first catwalk show), Holland has managed to tap in to key trends each season which are regularly spotted on his celebrity fans.

This season the front row was like a who's who of the London party scene including Alexa Chung, Kimberly Stewart and Alice Dellal. Obviously his best friend and muse Agyness Deyn appeared on the catwalk showcasing his latest designs.

This season House of Holland was '90s crazy with plenty of flower power, polka dots and stone washed denim (part of his collaboration with Levi's). Cheeky dresses with sexual undertones were sent down the catwalk combining sheer and carefully placed dots.

Holland is aware that as Beverly Hills 90210 returns to our screens we all go crazy for '90s nostalgia, not simply for that show but also for Blossom and Clarissa Explains It All. Therefore think big sheer floral shirts and jackets. There were also a few seemingly innocent yet quite naughty ensembles as Holland got a bit Gaultier on us.

Will You Grow Your Brows Like Agyness?

This is certainly looking to be the season of the full brow. Models Hilary Rhoda and Agyness Deyn have been leading the way, but when I saw pictures of Agyness on the catwalk at the Henry Holland show yesterday at London Fashion Week, I could swear her brows are even bushier.Perhaps it's the contrast with her ultra pale, bleach blonde new bob, but she is definitely flying the flag for strong eyebrows. Whilst it's always useful to follow model advice for creating the perfect neat arc, I'm not sure if facial features can be copied in the same way. Having said that, I do think most of us could benefit from growing our brows a little, as oppose to looking over-plucked. How about you, will you be growing your brows like Agyness this season? Just when we thought that New York Fashion Week couldn't show us any more hair surprises, Agyness Deyn stole the limelight from Victoria Beckham by unveiling her brand new bob yesterday at the shows. It's typical of on-trend Agyness to have updated her look, just when it seemed everyone was copying her crop.

This new, short, yet sharp cut looks striking with Agyness' bleach blonde colour and has a retro feel that brings to mind the flapper girls of the 20's. It's also more groomed, feminine, shiny and polished than her previous spiky, street-chic cut.

The haircut debuted at the Michael Kors show and was teamed with matte red lipstick and dark brows. I really like it, however, I'm sure it won't be long before she changes it again — the the girl does love to experiment.

Fab Cover: 14 Different V Magazine Covers

As if fashion wasn't full of enough decisions already, V magazine have gone and made it harder! For this month's issues of the style mag you have to chose from 14 different covers. Cover stars include Naomi Campbell, Agyness Deyn, Christy Turlington and Daria Werbowy. Editor in chief Stephan Gan told WWD, “Supermodels are our celebrities, so we’ve given the covers to a whole range of models.”

He was also quick to point out that advertising isn't down for them, in fact it's up by 10%. They're also planning on increasing circulation for the next issue. This issue hits newstands tomorrow, but which cover will you choose?

She recently had a haircut which most of you weren't impressed with but now that it's grown out a little and is a bit messier I think it looks better. London partygirl Alice Dellal has been pioneering the return of the undercut for a while now. The look which is defined as, "any hairstyle where the sides and/or back of the head are closely trimmed or shaved while hair on top of the head remains long," is usually seen on men but has recently been spotted on Agyness Deyn as well as Dellal. Although Agyness' take on the trend isn't quite so severe, the hair is still shaved very close on the back and neck. But what do you think of the hairstyle? Source

Before she was this girl-next-door who dated her Hull boyfriend and went to the North for cheap facials but since she started dating The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr it's just not been the same. I can't even explain to you how jealous I am of Agyness Deyn for owning such a gorgeous Daschund hound (sausage dog). Since seeing these images of her over at Pop I have been unable to even consider her outfit, until I found this dress for less! Monochrome checks have been a big trend for Summer seen on the catwalk at Burberry and it will continue through til the Autumn. Keira Knightley has already shown off her love for the style.

Ambassador for British cool – Agyness Deyn is to be the new face of Shiseido. The Japanese makeup brand has dropped Angelina Jolie and announced that Agyness will be their new face for the autumn/winter 2008-9 Maquillage campaign.

Angelina Jolie will be stepping down as the brand ambassador after enjoying two years fronting the campaign. As beautiful as Angelina is, Agyness has an undeniably edgier and younger appeal that is well suited to the cutting-edge brand.

As well as making her musical debut recently, singing vocals on "Who" with the Five O'Clock Heroes, Agyness told NME that she's formed her own band called Gene Jacket. Add her impressive modelling CV, which includes campaigns for Burberry and Jean Paul Gaultier, and she's obviously on a roll. Keep up the good work, Agie!

I have to admit, when Agyness Deyn first rocked up onto the scene I didn't really see what all the fuss was about. So she's a former chip shop girl made Jean Paul Gaultier muse and model. So she's best mates with Henry Holland and she looks a little like a younger Debbie Harry - so what. (Jealous, moi?) But after seeing her up close I was taken aback by the almost perfect translucent quality of her skin and her strong features, not to mention her down-to-earthiness. Now I understand the comparisons to Kate Moss.
Here Agyness looks naturally cool and beautiful at a Henry Holland and Wrigley's party. She may be a model, but compared to the many identikit faces on the runway, Aggie stands out with her short, spiky hair and bushy brows.

If you thought Dover Street Market was cool before, check it out now whilst it houses a temporary Chanel boutique. A month ago we told you that Chanel planned to open a temporary boutique in the fashion haven selling the the Métiers d'Arts Paris-Londres collection. Well, it opened yesterday with a bang as the likes of Daphne Guinness, Agyness Deyn, Jade Parfit and Henry Holland celebrated.

Karl Lagerfeld couldn't be there but there were plenty of cardboard cut outs dotted around making his presence felt! Henry Holland was the DJ whilst Agyness danced around, he looked adorable in turned up shorts and House of Holland loafers. Trinny Woodall (of Trinny and Susannah) was there with a friend, what not to wear to a Chanel boutique opening? Balenciaga.

Seems that model du jour Agyness Deyn now has another advertising campaign under her belt as the face of Jean Paul Gaultier's new fragrance Ma Dame. Agyness was in Paris this week to celebrate with BFF Henry Holland, DJ's ODO 7, Miss Kitten and The Missshapes.

Gaultier described how he imagined Ma Dame and it fits Agyness pretty well. He described his ultimate Ma Dame woman as cheeky, distinctive and a girl who breaks all the rules!

Francis Kurkdjian, the perfumier who helped create the scent told Elle, "There is a great deal of strength and a great deal of softness in the fragrance. The same could be said of girls today."

The perfume launches exclusively on the 17th August at Harrods but will be available nationwide from 1st September.

The Independent caught up with model du jour Agyness Deyn recently in New York. She spoke out about her mad rise to fame, recording with Five o'Clock Heroes and how she hasn't turned in to a diva just yet.

Talking about her lifestyle she explained, "Despite what you may read about me, I'm not the kind of person who has a lot of friends, and I'm much happier just mixing in my small circle. I don't really go to fashion parties; they're not my scene. Well, of course they're precisely that – my scene – but I'd much prefer to go to gigs."

She also spoke about her prefered way to travel. "I do fly first class, and that's a luxury I've no problem with. Agencies always want to send big fat cars to pick me up for appointments, but if it's in London or New York, I'd much rather just cycle there on my bike. I like my bikes [she keeps one on either side of the Atlantic], but people think I'm, like, eccentric for insisting on pedalling to work. But millions of people do that every day, don't they?"
