Gwyneth Paltrow braved the wet London weather last night to hit the red carpet for her latest movie Two Lovers as part of the London Film Festival. She unusually chose flat gladiator sandals for the occasion apparently due to an injured knee. She wore a black Salvatore Ferragamo full length dress with a fur Felder and Felder jacket adding texture to her ensemble. Gwyneth took the opportunity to defend her friend Madonna but will you be defending her choice of outfit? Source

Since Gwyneth started flashing her pins in super-short dresses paired with fashion-forward, chunky shoes, we've all been wondering how she got her legs looking that good. Now it seems her beauty secrets may be spilled as there are rumours she is planning on releasing a fitness video where she talks candidly about how she stays looking perfect, according to Splash News.

A source said: "Her idea is to show, step by step, what she does every day to stay in shape. There won't be much fancy equipment involved either, because her workout is mostly yoga, some basic Pilates and flexibility, and resistance training."

Like good friend Madonna, Gwyneth has previously talked about how she undergoes a tough, workout session with a personal trainer daily. As one of the ambassadors for Estee Lauder, I'm sure she gets to use a few of their gorgeous leg creams and body lotions too, to keep her skin looking glowing.

Apparently Gwyneth is planning to shoot the video at her estate by the coast, in New York's Amagansett, where she reputedly just had a pilates studio built. So, will she be the next Jane Fonda? Who's to say, but I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to know all her health and beauty secrets. Who wouldn't want those legs, after all?

Fab Flash: Gwyneth Fur Ad Angers PETA

The first time I saw this Tod's ad starring Gwyneth Paltrow in a glossy I was surprised to say the least. The close friend of Stella McCartney and wife of vegetarian Chris Martin seems like a surprising choice for a company that uses not just fur but also ostrich and snakeskin in its products. Tod's describes itself as "refined, understated luxury, impeccable taste and enviable quality." The use of fur on the catwalk was definitely up this season, particularly in Paris where the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier created fur clad collections. Indeed The British Fur Trade Association have commented stating there is a rising global demand for the animal fabric.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) are not impressed. They told The Daily Telegraph,

"We've written to her many times, and sent her videos showing how animals suffer for fur, but have never received a response. Apparently her beauty really is only skin deep. Gwyneth Paltrow won't be the apple of her daughter's eye if she continues to flaunt fur. It's a terrible example to set for a young child."

You have to wonder if Gwyneth Paltrow has had any time to herself lately, firstly she was promoting Iron Man and now she has been busy in Rome filming a TOD shoes advert. Gwyneth looked great in a crisp white shirt and jeans whilst she modeled the latest TOD's boots. Her feet must have wanted a break though as she was seen leaving the shoot in her flat ballet pumps, it's good to know that even a-listers have a sneaky pair of flats on hand.

Love or hate Gwyneth, you must admit that her range of heels on show whilst promoting Iron Man was impressive.

So impressive, in fact, that she has managed to boost sales of all heels! Selfridges have reported an increase in sales of vertiginous heels following Gwyneth's many red carpet appearances. There has been particular interest in seven inch heel, including brands such as Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent.

Sales have increased a staggering 35% in the past week alone which is being dubbed the 'Gwyneth effect'. Sebastian Manes, Selfridges' Director of Accessories told Marie Claire,

"This season we are selling the highest and most incredible shoes I've ever seen. Not for the faint hearted, fetish heels offer the wearer an extreme, attention grabbing look, these are definitely taxi shoes!"

Iron Man star Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on the BBC this morning talking about her latest film and the uber-high heels she has been spotted in recently! She commented,

Gwyneth and Robert Bring Iron Man to London: Gwyneth Paltrow brought Robert Downey Jr and her amazing legs to London for the UK premiere of Iron Man yesterday. The cast have been to Berlin and to Rome and now that Gwyneth's back in her adopted home she's sure to enjoy family time with her adorable children. Lots of male celebrities took their plus ones to the premiere — Martin Kemp and Rowland Rivron brought their sons, and Brendan Cole and Al Murray arrived with their partners (who could be twins!), while Skins' Mike Bailey and Joe Dempsie kept each other company.
