Fab Cover: Lily Cole for Playboy

Back in July I revealed that British model Lily Cole would be appearing on the cover of French Playboy and now the cover has finally been revealed. Lily appeared on the catwalk for Agent Provocateur earlier this year looking racy in a pair of latex over the knee socks so I'm not surprised that Playboy decided to have her as their cover girl.

Fellow model Helena Christensen has also appeared on the sophisticated mens' mag cover. I love the '60s vibe that the Lily Cole cover has particularly with the Carry On style hair. The shoot entitled 'Sweet Lily' is said to be inspired by Serge Gainsbourg's Melody Nelson album which features a woman topless clutching a doll.

The magazine contains a 14 page editorial featuring interviews with Cole's industry colleagues and friends, including designer Jean Paul Gaultier and film director Terry Gilliam who is directing Cole in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

M&S Girls Out For a New Shoot

The British model team behind the M&S campaign were out in forced again yesterday working together on the latest ads. Fab favourite Lily Cole was there showing off a great navy blue coat and patterned tights.

Maybe Lily was getting tips from Erin O'Connor who looked gorgeous in a classic tailored suit. Myleene Klass (who is rumoured to be the new Countdown assistant) looked feminine and girly accessorising with a polka dot scarf.

The new season pieces all look great and we can't wait to see the final ads! I wonder if they'll use this picture of Lily relaxing?!

Getting Kate Moss to star in one of their videos was clearly not enough of a model fix for Primal Scream who chose not one but two models for their latest video. The slightly creepy video for 'Can't Go Back' features Brit models Lily Cole and Alice Dellal.

Fab Flash: Lily Cole to Appear in French Playboy

People are often left divided by Lily Cole but I really like her and think she photographs beautifully. Interesting news then that she has been revealed as the November coverstar of French Playboy.

The British model has already appeared on the catwalk for Agent Provocateur (pictured) but is clearly stepping up her game as she prepares to bare all for the French publication.

The magazine is very sophisticated and elegant so will no doubt reveal Lily in an artistic manner rather than in a trashy way. French style icon Lou Doillon has already appeared in the magazine.

We're very intrigued to see the pictures, I bet Jude is too...

After those pics of Sophie Ellis-Bextor filming the new Rimmel ads, speculations about her replacing Kate Moss were rife. But now Rimmel have officially announced that Sophie and Lily Cole will be joining Kate as the new faces of the iconic British brand.Sophie says "I have always had a passion for make-up ever since I was a little girl and I am very attached to Rimmel as it was my first make up brand." Lothario Law Linked To Lily Jude Law had his grumpy face on as he arrived at a London airport this weekend, but if rumours are to be believed he's got lots to smile about, as he's been linked with model Lily Cole. Lily left Jude's Maida Vale house a few hours after the man himself had left to meet Sean Pertwee to fly Los Angeles for a wedding.

The latest Richard Prince exhibition, Continuation opened with a bang last night at London's Serpentine Gallery. Louis Vuitton are sponsoring the show so they threw a party to celebrate the opening which was not short on support. The likes of Claudia Schiffer, Trinny Woodall and Marc Jacobs partied the night away as Richard Prince, long time friend of Jacobs revealed his latest work. To mark the occasion Prince has designed a handbag for Louis Vuitton which will be available exclusively in London.
The 'Jamais' (pictured above) was shown off (albeit in a different shade) by Lily Cole last night who wore a Lolita style outfit. The exhibition runs until 7th September.

In the current climate where models instantly become daily papped celebrities (e.g. Agyness Deyn, Kate Moss and Daisy Lowe) Lily Cole has managed to keep a relatively low profile.

The doll faced red haired model has caught my attention due to her sheer versatility. She often appears in couture shows (my personal favourite being the Christian Dior show) but can do geek chic equally as well as seen at Paul Smith.

She is over 5 ft 10 so often opts for flats at parties and still manages to look chic. Lily is a big supporter of quirky designers wearing pieces by the likes of Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and Lee Klabin.

Feathers have been popping up all over the fashion spectrum this season appearing on the catwalk at Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy. The midnight moth corset (£2,850) by Lee Klabin appears in the Sex and the City Movie but was also been worn by model Lily Cole at the My Wardrobe Patricia Field party. This slightly feels like a US vs UK version of Who Wore it better but don't let that sway your decision. Let us know what you think!
