The mecca of all self-proclaimed beauty junkies –
Space NK – is looking to up the ante this autumn. They have just unveiled plans to launch five fragrances.
According to
WWD, the brand will be relaunching their existing Laughter scent, as well as treating us to four new fragrances, called Champaca, Jasamber, Tuberoli and Santalrosa, which were inspired by the travels of the firm’s founder, Nicky Kinnaird.
Laughter, Space NK's unisex perfume, is being relaunched to celebrate the chain's fifteenth anniversary, this October. It was originally introduced in 1999, six years after the company opened it's first branch, in Covent Garden.

On the Autumn/Winter runways at
Chanel, Galliano,
Prada, and Dior, the mood was all about dark, soft goth appeal and gutsy, edgy glamour.
Nails were darkly metallic, in shades of burnished bronze, glossy crimson, steely silver and shimmering black. After summer's love affair with
bright lights, bold colour varnishes – such as canary yellow or bright orange – autumn's mood is more grown-up.
Nails should be slightly longer this season, just peeking over the edge of the finger tips.

Singer-songwriter, producer, actor and all-round crush – Justin Timberlake, has a new gig. The smouldering pin-up is the face of
Givenchy's new line of men's fragrances – Play.
The Play range, which includes eau de toilette in the signature scent, and a more heady, musky version, entitled Play Intense, launches on 1st September.

I'm a bit of a spoiled kitten when it comes to facials, I have to admit. Years of working in the beauty and fashion industry means I've had my fair share of the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.
The worst, was a 'couple facial' in which my skincare expert actually flicked the sides of my cheek with her artificial nails, while at the same time Mr Bella kept trying to grab my hand, shouting "don't let her touch my face, I don't like having my face touched" as his masochistic therapist tutted at the state of his stubble.
So instead of lying back and thinking of beauty, I've come to approach facials with more than a little trepidation.

While metallics can be a
love/hate thing, personally my magpie tendencies always win out. Who can resist the gleam of silver or gold on eyes, cheekbones or even lips (if you're very brave).
So I'm already a little bit infatuated with the new Laura Mercier Sensual Metals Palette, (£45), available exclusively at
Harvey Nichols, from October.
